In January we had a guest speaker in to talk with us about bullying and being a by-stander, and how by-standers can be just as bad as the bullies. Quite often, if there were no by-stander, fighting and bullying would stop as a bully tends to thrive on the attention of an audience. Hopefully this information helps the students become more aware of their actions
February 6, 2012 will be the first Monday for “Out of Chaos” which is an 8 part program. It will be running every consecutive Monday with the exception of the 20th which will be moved to the 21st due to the Family Day holiday falling on the Monday.
This program is for young ladies and is being offered to the grades 4, 5, & 6, at a later date to be announced. “Out of Chaos” focuses on self-esteem, self-Image and self-acceptance. The program will run from 4pm until 6pm, and March 8thwill be the wrap up session for the first group. There will be healthy snacks provided to help with the after school snack attacks. All students have been given a letter of explanation and a permission form that must be signed. I look forward to working with the girls during these sessions.
If you are interested in your daughter attending and have not received the info, please feel free to contact me.
Have a wonderful February!
With Love and light,
