Jump Rope

This is our second annual Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart fundraiser here at St. Mary's are we are very excited! Last year our school together raised $1200.00 which was excellent for our first year, but we are setting our sites much higher this year. The Kindergarten through grade 6 will be participating in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser and the grades 7 through 12 will be participating in the Hoops for Heart fundraiser.
Our event kick off will begin Monday morning (May 3rd) during our school wide assembly. During this time Mr. Peters and Mrs. Nadeau (event hosts) will be explaining the importance of such an event, as well as challenging the student body to raise $3000.00 as a team this year. There will also be prizes shown as well as a major incentive for the students to get excited about fundraising; but we aren't letting the cat out of the bag till Monday morning, so make sure to find out from your children what this is!
SO, what are Mr. Peters and Mrs. Nadeau asking from you, the parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, etc is to help your children get out there and raise as much money as they can for a GREAT cause! You can remind your children that there are prizes involved for the more money they raise, and the school PE program does recieve money for equipment, but an event such as this should be about helping raise awareness about the painfull effects of heart problems to everybody.
